Toni The Tourist

Hey guys! If you don’t follow my personal instagram account (@tonisomething), you might not know that I visited Spain early last month ūüôā

The weather was extremely¬†warm while I was there (35+ degrees Celsius every day) so I felt really limited¬†in the types of outfits I could wear. By the end of my trip, I had adopted a sort of uniform of unrestricted cotton sleeveless tops paired with¬†slitted¬†maxiskirts. Usually in warm weather, it’s easy for me to gravitate toward¬†outfits with minimal fabric (think: high waisted short shorts and crop tops) but I found that I was most comfortable wearing flowy, lightweight materials that caught any breeze and barely made skin contact. Is that too much info? :$ Comfortable sandals were also a must considering all the walking involved in visiting all the great tourist spots! Cities I visited were Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, and Sevilla. Here are some photos¬†of my travels, taken by mine and Analisa’s other sister, Estrella. Hope you enjoy!

I also didn’t do much shopping while I was there – and I dare to refer to myself as a fashionista, I know – but I did make note of a few stores that appealed to me:

  1. Kling
  2. Bershka
  3. Pull & Bear

I¬†would say they’re comparable to stores ranging from Zara to¬†Forever21¬†in terms of quality and price but I found their styles to be a little more quirky¬†and honestly, downright¬†cute!¬†If you ever travel there, make sure to check them out. You can also visit their online stores by clicking the links above ūüôā

Anyway thanks so much for stopping by, hope you all have a great weekend!

Yin & Yang

Hey everyone, hope you’re all having a great summer! My sister and I have been really busy for the last few months and regretfully haven’t been giving our blog any TLC but we’ve got a new post for you today, hope you enjoy ūüôā

Keepin’ It Cas

Heyyyy, how are y’all doing?

I wanted to show you guys a supppper casual outfit for me. I’d probably wear this to a late night movie or a walk in the park (maybe not the best idea in this weather ūüė¶ ). The main focus in this outfit is my varsity jacket. I really like how it’s not your typical black and white varsity but blue and amber instead. To go with this outfit I put on my boyfriend jeans, ¬†white t-shirt and white kicks to match. This was definitely one of my more comfortable outfits (hopefully you can tell by the climbing).

Thanks for stopping by, and I¬†hope you had¬†great weekend! ūüôā

Minimal Criminal

If minimalism is a crime, I plead guilty without remorse.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love getting gussied up for an occasion or a night out but generally, I’m all for minimal effort. That being said, putting in less effort doesn’t need to mean throwing just anything on.¬†I still like to try¬†to look neat and put together ūüôā

This outfit is kind of¬†a transitional look¬†to mark¬†where we are right now in terms of the seasons. The burgundy and black are definitely reminiscent of gloomy ol’ Winter but the thin clothing fabrics and heels are more Spring¬†weather appropriate.

Because I wanted¬†something minimal, I opted for a classic black and white combo¬†and added colour only as accents to the look with¬†the heels and lipstick. I thought the sleek low-pony matched the “professional/business” vibe of the pencil skirt. Rather than¬†pairing the skirt with a standard cotton long-sleeve, I chose this sheer black number¬†and since¬†it¬†was see-through, I thought the caged bandeau¬†would be¬†a fun¬†little surprise from¬†the back ūüėõ

Et voil√†. I hope you found this interesting and thanks for stopping by ūüôā enjoy the nice weather and have a great day!

Sunny in the 6ix

Hhheeeeyy fashion lovers.¬†It’s been a minute, how are you guys?

I’m so happy to finally say it’s Spring!!¬†I swear I have been waiting foreeveerr for this moment. I decided to christen this day with a fitted, grey, mid-calf length dress by Babaton. I wore it with my black moto jacket and black booties with buckles. I added my long, lace cardigan¬†and grey floppy hat (current favourite pieces) ¬†to add interest to¬†my outfit. I put on my gold necklace, long pearl earrings, and gold hoop septum ring to complete my ensemble.¬†This is a typical Spring/Summer look for me. I really like this attire¬†because it’s dressy but also very simple.

I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week!¬†Thanks for reading ūüôā

Casual Friday

Hope you guys are all well! It’s been a while.

This past winter has been a real¬†drag but now that it’s finally wrapping up and moving¬†over for spring, I’d say it’s safe¬†to not have to pack on layers or lace up¬†a pair of boots anymore. For me, this outfit¬†served as a testament to that.

I was going for something light and casual.¬†The dress pants are sharp and structured but the cropped hem and stripe detail down the sides makes them feel almost athletic. Sneakers seemed¬†like a natural choice of footwear.¬†Since¬†the turtleneck had a stripe detailing down the sides too, I thought it paired well and gave the combined pieces a sense of harmony. The¬†black trench was¬†a final touch of polish without interference and I thought the fur lining¬†added a bit of stylistic flare – plus it helped keep me warm since I was fighting the last leg of a bad cold lol. Simple enough ūüôā

Hope you guys are enjoying the warmer weather and thanks for stopping by!
